American Red Cross Blended Learning
Recertification Lifeguard Course

Dates: Sunday, February 1, 2026

Registration Deadline: **Wednesday, January 14th before 1pm

Fee: $165.00 and must have access to computer and internet.
 

**Participant MUST hold a CURRENT American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate. **

**The instructor will need a copy of your CURRENT American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification before

January 14th , 2026.**

PREREQUISITES: 

**Jump into the water from the side, totally submerge, recover to the surface and swim 150 yards. After

swimming 150 yards, maintain position at the surface of the water without support for 2 minutes by treading.

After maintaining position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes, swim 50 more yards. While swimming, you

must swim continuously, keeping your face in the water and demonstrating good breath control. You may use the

front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not permitted. Goggles are

allowed.

**You have 1 minute and 40 seconds to complete the following sequence: starting in the water swim 20 yards,

surface dive 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10 lb brick, return to the surface and swim on your back 20 yards back to the

starting point holding the brick with both hands keeping your face at the surface of the water, swimming the

distance under water is not permitted, exit the water without using a ladder.

Goggles are not allowed.

(PARTICIPANT MUST ATTEND ALL CLASSES FOR THE ENTIRE LENGTH. THERE WILL BE NO MAKE-UP DATES)

***Extra Class to be used only if there is inclement weather and class is cancelled on February 1st. be moved to Sunday, February 8th @ 7am-4:30pm.***
