To Apply - What You Will Need
Applications for Limited Open Enrollment are now open and are available here. The application process will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and must be finished when it is started. Therefore, applicants should be aware of the following:
- A separate application must be completed for each child requesting enrollment in MSD Southwest Allen County Schools.
- Families of non-resident students are responsible for all transportation to and from school. SACS will not provide any transportation.
- Approved non-resident applicants enrolled as full-time students are recognized as SACS students and are afforded the same benefits and privileges as resident students, including full eligibility to participate in clubs, activities, athletics, and extracurricular programs as valued members of our school community, provided they remain academically eligible and in good standing.
- Non-resident students must remain in good standing, and enrollment may be revoked if excessive absences, truancy, or behavior becomes a concern.
- Enrollment in SACS school is reliant on school, grade level, and program capacity, as well as a student's attendance and discipline record. Applications are never based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, or disability.
The following official school documents must be on school letterhead and are needed to complete the application process for students applying for transfer GRADES 1-12.
*Required Documentation:
- Past 12 months of discipline history on school letterhead
- Past 12 months of attendance history on school letterhead
- Past 12 months of grades on school letterhead
- IEP, ILP, 504 Plan or gifted/talented testing documents (if applicable)
*Please note that Pre-K and Kindergarten applicants are not expected to have the historical records required of transfer applicants in Grades 1–12. Only Pre-K and Kindergarten applicants may complete a transfer application without submitting the required attachments listed above.
Suggestions:
- Contact your child's current school to request the documents above.
- Another option is to print the report card for previous years to show 12 months of attendance and grades. For those that use Skyward and PowerSchool, please note those systems do not show discipline. Applicants will need to obtain a statement on letterhead from a current school official regarding discipline standing including any and all infractions for the past 12 months.
