SACS RESIDENT Transfer Process

In our continued effort to be the District of Choice for our SACS residents, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, SACS will offer Limited Open Enrollment for SACS RESIDENT Transfers

SACS RESIDENT Transfers are designed to enable SACS RESIDENTS to apply to attend a school other than their assigned neighborhood school. Transportation is not provided. 

*As a SACS RESIDENT, you must ENROLL your student in thier home school prior to applying for a SACS RESIDENT TRANSFER.

 

SACS RESIDENT Transfer Timeline

  • Capacity published on website: February 1, 2026
  • Application window opens: February 9, 2026
  • RESIDENT application priority (PHASE 1) deadline: February 27,2026
  • Lottery (if needed): March 3, 2026 
  • PHASE 1 decision notifications after March 3, 2026
     
  • PHASE 2 Resident transfer request deadline: April 1, 2026 
  • PHASE 2 Resident Transfer decision notifications on or after April 7, 2026
     
  • PHASE 3 Resident Transfer request deadline: August 2, 2026.
  • PHASE 3 Resident Transfer decision notifications will be made within 14 days of application receipt.
