Dear SACS Parents/Guardians:

We know how valuable assessment outcomes and grades are to you and your student(s). Both are primary indicators of how well your student is performing in school, and we use them as a basis to make important decisions. Colleges and universities also look to students’ assessments and grades for admissions.

We also know negative experiences with assessments and grades can profoundly affect students both in school and at home. You may have even experienced…

¯   Your student struggling to prepare for assessments
¯   Uncertainty with how to help your student prepare for assessments
¯   Confusion about assessment outcomes
¯   Questions about grades

To ensure we are implementing the most effective practices that are both fair and accurate, we have partnered with Drs. Guskey and Link, experts in K-12 assessment and grading. As a result, you are invited to a SACS Parent Meeting.

Join us for a SACS Parent Meeting with Drs. Guskey and Link that will provide you:

  • Highlights of our recent SACS Parent Survey
  • An opportunity to give further input on SACS’ assessment and grading practices
  • An overview of future SACS assessment pilots and grading conversations
  • Ideas for how to best help your student with assessments

You are encouraged to participate in one of the free, scheduled SACS Parent Meetings below:
