See You Next Year

SACS End of Year Message
Posted on 05/27/2021

Good morning, SACS families.

As this unique and sometimes challenging school year has come to an end, I would like to take a moment to share our appreciation with the SACS community.

The 2020-2021 school year has undoubtedly been a memorable one. This school year has required resiliency, flexibility and sacrifices by everyone in an effort to provide quality learning experiences for students and to support their learning efforts in the classroom and online from home. Thank you for your partnership, your engagement, and your dedication to your children’s education. Please take a moment to watch this short video.

From our youngest preschooler to our graduating seniors, I have been inspired by our students’ tenacity and their pursuit of excellence despite the COVID-19 challenges we experienced. Our girls and boys have responded with grit, focus and determination. I am incredibly proud of the work of all of our students.

Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the collective and essential efforts of every SACS employee. Each and every team member has been vital to the district’s success of not only opening our schools in August, but keeping them open throughout the school year. SACS could not offer the rich and valuable educational opportunities we extend to our students without the continuing effort and support given by our SACS team.

While we celebrate the end of this school year, we are already gearing up for the next one. SACS is looking forward to welcoming all students back to school, in-person, on Wednesday, August 11. In the meantime, please watch for important information about registration dates and times, back-to-school information, school supply lists and other important details that will help you prepare for the 2021-2022 school year.

We look forward to seeing you in August. Have a wonderful summer.

Dr. Lynn Simmers, Assistant Superintendent
