2021 Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Emergency Broadband Benefit Program allows families to sign up directly with the Universal Services Administration Company or with a participating Internet Service Provider to receive internet services subsidized at $50/month. Some providers also offer devices within the guidelines established by the program. The list of participating Internet Service Providers for Indiana is available here. All families in schools designated as Community Eligible Provision (CEP), through the USDA’s National Free and Reduced-Price Lunch program, are eligible. The FCC site also includes a link to Frequently Asked Questions regarding this program. IDOE encourages all schools to develop plans to ensure eligible families are aware of this benefit and how to participate.

SACS has made available WiFi access in two parking lots at Homestead High School.

  1. The parking lot that is between the north side of the football stadium and door #19 of Homestead HS.
  2. The parking lot on the north side of Homestead HS along Aboite Center Road. Users will need to get a close as possible to the school building in the parking lot.

*Most of these options require participation in the federal free and reduced lunch program.**
