Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS) which allows teachers, students, and parents to easily access learning objectives and classroom content in one place. The goal of Canvas is to “make teaching and learning easier” and to that end, SACS teachers use Canvas to engage students in a blended learning environment aimed at offering engaging and personalized opportunities for learning. Students can easily access and submit work and teachers can provide timely, specific feedback.

Parents can also engage in the learning continuum with Canvas. As ‘observers’ of their child(ren), parents can access course information, due dates, and calendar items. With the Canvas app, parents can also quickly gain a holistic look at what is taking place in classes.
