No Alcohol No Drugs Task Force

NAND - the No Alcohol No Drugs Task Force is a program of the Southwest Allen County Schools Education Foundation and Southwest Allen County Schools

An Overview of NAND

"No Alcohol No Drugs" -- or NAND -- is the collective effort of parents, teachers, administrators, business people, community leaders, and students in Aboite and Lafayette Townships who are working together to reduce the alcohol and drug abuse among Southwest Allen County students. Like everyone who deals with alcohol and drug abuse, it has taken our community a long time to admit we have a problem. Superintendent Dr. Brian Smith was the first to voice the problem publicly in meetings with school staff and community leaders. Those who heard Dr. Smith's challenge to solve this issue have spent this past year strategizing how to bring a solution to this difficult issue. Through a combination of parent involvement and cooperation, educational objectives in the school systems, student accountability and testing, and business/community leader awareness, NAND's goal is to reduce student drug and alcohol use by 5% each year. This website contains helpful information about NAND as well as contact information on how to get involved.
