SACS is celebrating seven Summit Middle School young artists who recently placed in the Regional Scholastic Art competition.  This is a tough competition; there were 3088 art submissions in this contest and only 800 pieces were chosen for awards.  Taking top honors (Gold Key awards) were: 8th graders Evie Dolhay and Emma Kistler for photography and Taylor Zumstein for Printmaking.  Also earning awards (Silver Key awards) were 8th grader Emma Kistler for photography, and 7th graders Jamie Crawford for Digital Art, Rosemary Rogers for ceramics, Megan Rosenbaum for Printmaking, and Nurul Tarma for drawing.  These students will attend an awards ceremony downtown on February 11th and their work will be on display at the Fort Wayne museum of Art February 11th through the end of March.
