Flu Shots 2019

SACS Staff Flu Shots
2019

We are pleased to announce that we will once again be offering flu shots this year.  The shots will be given on October 16th and October 30th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  All our staff, their dependents and our Retirees are welcome.  Please note that dependents must be age 18 or older to receive a shot.  If you participate in the SACS medical plan, the shots are FREE.  If you do not participate in the SACS medical plan, the cost for the shot will be $27.00.  The flu shots will be given at the District’s Health Clinic which is located at Door 18 next to CMT.

In an effort to minimize the wait time, we have suggested the dates and times that you should sign-up for your flu shot.  However, if you cannot attend during your designated time, you may attend at another time.  Please review the schedule below and then see your building Secretary to sign-up for your flu shot.  For staff at the high school, Sylvia will be sending you a link to a google doc that you can use to sign-up.

  • RISKS AND POSSIBLE SIDE REACTIONS - Side effects of influenza vaccine are generally mild in adults and occur at low frequency.  These reactions consist of tenderness at the injection site, fever, myalgia, malaise and muscle aches.  These symptoms occur within 6-12 hours after immunization and last up to 48 hours.
  • SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS – Please refer to the attached Influenza Vaccine Statement.
